The feeling couldn’t compare to words tactfully arranged to convey true desire. We grew to know each other down to the wrinkles of our hand without a single picture ever exchanged. We arranged to meet after many long talks. I suggested the idea of driving to meet her in Florida. I told her I would use the drive to unwind from the many stressors on my job covering up my fear flying like a cold child on a winter morning. We did decide that it would be best if I stayed in a hotel for safety reasons and we would meet in a neutral location.

A day later, I finally arrived on the white beaches of Pensacola, Florida. I exhaled deeply as a noticed a petite figure approaching only identified by the outfit she would wear. I only revealed the black shorts I would wear, as I never mentioned my weight training. I felt my hands tremble as meeting her wrecked havoc on me.I felt the excitement go below my navel when her curvy figure came into focus. She pushed her sunglasses down her nose to get a better look at the abdominals twinkling in the sun. We began to walk. I tried to identify her familiar voice with her sexy body like old friends trying to catch up.

Two hours later, we were seated front stage for the sun setting over the calm waters. Our silence filled the gaps of the oncoming water but our insides spoke many a conversation.

“You know I would never have spoken to you if I seen you before talking on the phone.” She broke the silence when I took her hand in mine.

“Why do you say that?”

“You sound so down to earth and fun on the phone but in person…” She paused. “…in person I would make music with you on this beach right now.”

This might last longer than I planned.
