Rachelle Chase’s SEX LOUNGE “Finding Derek” CONTEST - Blog

I’m totally thrilled to have such an awesome judge joining the SEX LOUNGE Finding Derek CONTEST!

As a former Senior Vice President at RCA/BMG and independently, Bill Rosenfield is the executive producer of over 50 Original Cast Recordings of Broadway productions, including the currently running Chicago, Avenue Q, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, as well as the Tony Award winning musicals Thoroughly Modern Millie, Urinetown, Cabaret, Ragtime, Titanic, Assassins, and Fosse.

Most recently, he served as Executive Producer on Oprah Winfrey’s The Color Purple, Curtains (starring David Hyde Pierce) and Legally Blonde.

When I went to New York last year with fellow writer Mary B. Morrison, we bought tickets to see The Color Purple and sat in the third row from the stage.  It was awesome! I laughed and cried - even more than I did during the movie. And the soundtrack is fantastic.

Now, I can’t wait to go back and see Curtains!

Finally! The official launch of the SEX LOUNGE Finding Derek CONTEST has arrived. Some of you may remember last year, when the first glimmer of this contest surfaced on my Rachelle Chase blog with Derek #1. Well, I wanted to make it a bigger, sexier contest, where more folks could participate so … here we are.

Hopefully, you’d like to join our cast of celebrity judges. The winning judge will win a Sony VAIO laptop computer - just like the winning Derek. And if you know of a candidate for Derek, make him enter.

In the meantime, I am beginning the arduous task of finding Dereks. It’s a tough job … sigh … but, well, a serious writer makes serious sacrifices for the sake of her craft. Below are just a few ’sacrifices’ I’ve made so far.

Romantic Times Convention - April 25 - April 29, 2007  

Jason, a Mr. Romance contestant (who won the Mr. Romance title) was kind enough to take a photo with me. The leg thing … well, that was my idea.		Ellora’s Cave cover model, Julian, took a photo with me, too. The hand thing … that was not my idea. But I don’t look like I’m complaining, do I?

 

Does Julian look fantastic in white or what? Alas, I had to share him with friend and fellow writer, Calista Fox. But I did get a dance with him later - one that I didn’t share.

Yet another sexy Mr. Romance contestant, Fred. Does my expression look a little … dreamy to you?		Mr. Romance contestant and debonair dancer, Chris. Not only did Chris pose with me, he twirled this non-dancer on the dance floor, managing to make me look poised and graceful - or so I was told. A heavenly experience, to be sure.

So, what do you think? Is it just me or do you think all of these guys would make an awesome Derek?
